Isn't It Lovely Yet Again?

So, this is week 3 of Jeanne and Kimberly's
This weeks lovelies for me
consisted of things in my house
which make me smile.

Isn't it funny how little things that we may glance at everyday,
can bring a smile to our face?
They may not be special to anyone else,
but they mean just a little something extra to us.
This weeks pics for me included:
my Buddha that is in my yoga corner,

my gratitude pendant I wear around my neck,

Kelly Rae Roberts calendar print for February,

my old blue atomizer plant mister I bought years ago
in a Flea Market,

tarnished silver candlesticks that
belonged to my Grandmother,

coffee, sugar and my George Mason mug,

lovely little box a dear friend gave me,

my antique bird cage my sister in law gave me,

my messy desk in my slice of heaven,

pastels in an antique silver caddy,

the Valentine's Day card I sewed for my hubby,

and my colorful pillow on my great grandmother's settee.

I am off to Richmond tomorrow morning to go see my daddy.
We will spend the weekend together and I am
bringing back a bag of fabric and notions
that belonged to my mom.
Some of this fabric is from back 40 years ago
when my mom made my clothes.
I can't wait to see what all is in the bag.

Sunday I will head back early as we are suppose to
finally get some decent SNOW!!!!!
I hope, I hope, I hope!!!!

Also, for anyone who is really into vintage fabrics,
sewing/crocheting fun little thingies,
decorating with a funky-granny chic twist,
and just enjoys reading fun little jottings from
a wonderful quirky personality,
please check out
Her book,
It is such a wonderful book.
I read it front to back in 2 days
and am most certain I will read it again
because it is just that darn cute.
I want to live next door to Tif and be her best friend.

Here's wishing everyone a wonderful weekend.
Do something creatively delicious and fun.
Cheerio!!!
xx

  1. I absolutely love your photos this week - how special that you captured things that are truly special and "lovely" to you! There is something wonderful about being grateful for the things we already have, isn't there?
    Have a marvelous weekend,
    xx
